StoryLine: Pokkiri is the story of an audacious goon Tamizh (Vijay), who is ready to loot, kidnap, kill as long as the money is good. Just as he is busy following his regular ferocious schedule, he encounters Sruthi (Asin), who he is smitten by and eventually falls in love with. He takes care of the perverted, corrupt police officer L. Govindan (Mukesh Tiwari) who has been torturing Sruthi and her widowed mother. While Sruthi loves Tamizh, she loathes his violent ways.
